What a wonderful experience we had. It’s hard to explain the detail and love that went into the creation of this beautiful retreat. We instantly felt welcomed on our arrival. The room was gorgeous and well-appointed. The view was outstanding. When you stood back and looked towards the main window it felt like you were looking at a painting. It was our 10th anniversary and I don’t think we could have found a better location to celebrate it. Do yourself a favour and book your own experience here. Be sure to have supper as the food is mouthwatering. Breakfast was one of the best we ever had. Nothing like home cooking to start your day. Time to start planning our next visit!

We were one of the first to enjoy this amazing retreat in Kananaskis – 5 course meal and mountain-view room right by the river, and an amazing breakfast for Valentine’s weekend. We had the best time. Thank-you Todd and Jaxy for being the best hosts. We highly recommend anyone going who wants to enjoy a peaceful getaway in the mountains! We have been all around the world and have eaten at a lot of different restaurants, and this is one of our favourite spots. We will be back!

Policies

To ensure a peaceful and luxurious experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that you review and adhere to the following policies:

Check in and check out times:
Check in is 4:00PM and check out is 10:00AM. Early arrivals and late departures are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
Adult-Only Property:
River Retreat Kananaskis is an adult-only retreat. All guests must be 21 years of age or older.
Respectful Conduct:
Abusive, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior toward staff, guests, or property will not be tolerated. Guests exhibiting such behavior will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
Photo Identification:
A valid government-issued photo ID is required at the time of reservation and check-in to confirm your identity.
Occupancy:
All rates are based on double occupancy. Additional guests are not permitted unless previously approved and may be subject to extra charges.
Pet Policy:
Pets are welcome in private cabins only. A pet fee may apply. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they are leashed in shared spaces. Pets are not permitted in guest suites, the lodge, or common indoor areas.
Parking:
Complimentary on-site parking is available for all guests. Each reservation includes one designated parking space. Additional vehicles must be approved in advance and may be subject to availability.
Cell Coverage:
River Retreat Kananaskis offers cellular coverage on-site, so you can stay connected if needed—while still enjoying the opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature.
